Grain Bodies
|

Our Grain Bodies have removable barn doors fully framed and skinned with .190 aluminum sheet. We fabricate our own hinges from 3/4' bar stock and utilize 1" plow pins for pivots. We provide a removable spreader bar at the rear of the body above the barn doors to keep the sides straight. We utilize all stainless steel bar lock hardware that latches against the spreader bar as well as the body sill. Barn door hold backs are stainless steel. Our side panels are fully framed with 2x3 tube and skinned again with .190 aluminum sheet. The side walls are also removable. Our headboard is again fully framed and skinned with .190 aluminum, The headboard has a an optional removable section that lines up with the vehicle rear window to provide full rearward visability for the winter plowing mode. All kinds of options available from Side Doors, Lighted rear skirts, Cab shields, Ladders, Tarping systems, Strobe systems, Hitch plates, Toolboxes, Leaf blower hookups. And so on.

These 2 Trucks are the first of this design with the fully frames side walls. The side wall frames are fully welded while we attach the 3/16" skins with flush 1/4" Magnalock rivets. These #1300 rivets allow us to remove the skins for repair if ever neccessary as well as help us control the distortion generated by a full welded side. That allows them to remove and reinstall without a fight. These trucks were built around 99-00. We have not changed the design other than going from aluminum bar lock hardware to stainless bar lock hardware when it was first available.
